Mountain Comfort Furnishings and Design, recently voted “Best Furniture in North Idaho”, will close their doors and liquidate all furniture.

The Mountain Comfort Furnishings and Design store in Coeur d’Alene will close, owners Andy and Heidi Jarski announced in a prepared statement today. The store, located just north of the I-90 interchange on Highway 95, will sell its remaining inventory to the public. The store owners say they were unable to reach an equitable lease renewal for their 13,000 square foot location.
Mountain Comfort, having just celebrated their 25th Anniversary, has also been named as “Beyond Top 100 Furniture Stores” yearly by Furniture Today magazine since 2005 and voted “Best Furniture In North Idaho 2010-2011, by Spokane Coeur d’Alene Living Magazine. The unique furniture retailer carries a large selection of home furnishings in lodge, mountain elegance, Tuscan, traditional, transitional and rustic styles. Heirloom quality living room sets, casual and formal dining room sets, bedroom furniture, recliners, sofas and occasional chairs, upholstered in both fabric and leather, mattresses as well as an extensive selection of occasional tables and designer quality accessories and lighting will all be liquidated at discounted prices.
The store will be closed from June 5th through June 8th to mark down merchandise and prepare for this liquidation. The sell off will open to the public on Saturday, June 9th promptly at 10 AM.
Heidi and Andy are grateful to the community and loyal customers for the many years of support of their family owned store and look forward to seeing them during this final sales event.
The owners assure everyone that all existing customer orders and service issues will be fulfilled.
